The Code

Attack Life

I was six years old, racing another kid down a hallway. At the end of that hallway was a glass window. Every kid who ran that race did the same thing at the same moment: right before the glass, they slowed down. I never did. I went straight through the glass at full speed.

That race taught me the rule I still run my life by: attack life. Most people do not lose because they lack talent. They lose because they brake early. They slow down right before the ask, right before the launch, right before the hard conversation, right before the moment that decides everything.

The brake is the tell

Watch any room and you can spot it. The founder who softens the pitch at the exact moment it needs conviction. The salesperson who stops one call short. The leader who knows the decision and waits a week to make it. Fear dresses up as caution, and caution quietly taxes everything it touches.

Attacking life does not mean being reckless. Reckless is speed without preparation. I train, I prepare, I know the work cold. Then, when the moment comes, there is no brake. Preparation is what makes full speed safe.

Whatever your glass is, it is sitting at the end of a hallway you run every day. Everyone around you is slowing down for it. That is your opening. Run through it.
